our story

The entire made by sam concept was conceived after I received a handbag hook as a birthday gift from my wonderful brother and sister-in-law who live in Alabama, random, I know. I had never come across one before and was intrigued to say the least.

It turns out they are old school – my 90 year old next door neighbour bought one in Hong Kong in the sixties.

So, after reading the instruction card, I popped it in my handbag and have never looked back. I remember the first time someone approached me with a question – I was having brunch at Cirque on Brunswick Street in New Farm. From that first comment to the many that followed, I knew I had to share the handbag hook love.
